Gardening Project
We are very fortunate to have a school with some splendid grounds and a committed community.
As a result, over the last 18 months, we have received funding to enable our learners to develop a deeper knowledge of where food comes from. Mrs Cornish has been an inspirational volunteer who has been instrumental in the development of our school gardens, working alongside all staff, ensuring every child has an opportunity for the children to work from seed to harvest.
Spring 2025
The Spring Term continued with the development of our school allotment area with the utilisation of the Keep Wales Tidy Funding. Our pupils, along with some amazing volunteers, completed the project with the construction of our poly tunnel and storage shed and the official opening of the allotment.
We were honoured to welcome Adam Frost (BBC Gardeners World) to Trellech to officially open our allotment.
Autumn 2024
Securing a grant from Keep Wales Tidy in the Autumn 2024,the team including Tom Ward-Jackson (KWT) worked alongside Governors, Parents and Children to transform the area. Installing six raised beds and compost bins, moving seventy bags of compost and compost, eight bulk bags of soil, planted three hundred and fifty bulbs!
