Rights Respecting School Committee
Welcome to the Rights Respecting School Committee page-
At Trellech, our Rights Respecting School Committee works together to help everyone in our school understand and promote children’s rights in a child‑friendly way.
These rights are based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and include things such as the right to an education, the right to be safe, the right to have food and water, the right to a good standard of living and medical care, and the right to be the best we can be.
Our committee meets regularly to explore these rights, develop our “Article of the Term,” and help share this learning across the school. The committee also supports Mrs. Maguire in delivering rights‑based assemblies and in strengthening our understanding of rights within the wider school community.
