At Trellech we offer a Breakfast Club, which allows flexibility around parents’ own work commitments and other arrangements to provide safe childcare on the school site. Between 8:00am and 8:30am there is a small charge of £1 per pupil for the childcare element or Breakfast Club, in line with all Monmouthshire schools. Thanks to Welsh Government funding, every child is entitled to a breakfast free of charge, which is offered between 8:30am and 8:50am. 

Breakfast Club is based in the school hall - children are offered a light breakfast of toast, cereal and juice, and a number of activities are available.

Breakfast Club timings:
8:00 am - 8:30am - Childcare open at the cost of £1 per pupil. Pupils are served breakfast at this time.
8:30am - 8:50am - Breakfast Club open for the free breakfast element. Children must arrive before 8:40am to take advantage of the breakfast offer.
Children remain in Breakfast Club until they are taken to classrooms at 8.50am.

In May 2023 we were awarded the prestigious title of Kelloggs Best Breakfast Club in Wales. Our staff work extremely hard to provide a positive start to the day with a variety of activities to ensure all pupils are engaged and promote positive well-being. Mrs Peacock & Mrs Light along with two of our Breakfast Club attendees attended a prestigious ceremony in Westminster to receive this wonderful prize.
